Australian batsman Phil Hughes remains in critical condition as teammates visit hospital

AUSTRALIAN batsman Phil Hughes has been visited by teammates as he remains in a critical condition in hospital.

The 25-year-old underwent emergency surgery after being knocked out by a cricket ball during a match in Sydney on Tuesday.
One Direction star Harry Styles was among those sending their best wishes on Twitter, writing: 'Heard the news about Phil Hughes. Thinking of you brother. All the love'.
Hughes was struck by a bouncer - the term used when a fast bowler tries to push the batsman back towards the stumps, with the ball coming in at head or chest height.
Although he was wearing a helmet, the area behind his ear was unprotected.
Shane Warne told an Australian radio station today that he did not believe the accident was the result of a badly designed helmet.
He said: "It's a tough situation for everyone. It's one of those terrible freak accidents.
"You just think about how many lives the helmet has saved over the years. This is just one of those things."
The cricketer is being treated at St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney
