Police find body of baby Zaani: Tragedy as six-day-old girl is discovered dead yards from body of her mother after walker spotted hospital slippers and child's blanket at the top of cliff

Police have found the body of baby who went missing when her depressed mother fled a hospital two days ago.
Specialist teams were searching for newborn Zaani Tiana Bevan Malbrouck today after her mother Charlotte Bevan, 30, was found dead in the Avon Gorge in Bristol last night.

Officers this afternoon found the child's body on a cliff face overlooked by the Clifton Suspension Bridge, close to where her mother died.
Miss Bevan had walked out of the Bristol Maternity Hospital wearing thin hospital slippers and no coat, with her daughter wrapped in just a blanket at 9pm on Tuesday.

Specialist climbers scaled the cliff day and night until they found the bodies of the missing mother and daughter
